The Property Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational success and tenant satisfaction of diverse property portfolios. This position requires a proactive, organized, and customer-focused individual capable of managing day-to-day operations while fostering a positive living and working environment for tenants.
What You Will Do
Tenant Interface and Management:
- Manage communication with tenants (Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Multi-Family)
- Possess leasing and marketing strengths with the ability to create a sense of community
- Ability to work across teams
- Possess excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills in addition to administrative strengths
- Must be able to resolve issues diplomatically and amicably toward a happy resolve
- Should be a hands-on property manager that is visible around the property, eager to establish working relationships, and focused on tenant satisfaction
Building Management:
- Develop, negotiate, and manage preventative maintenance programs
- Create, assign, and manage maintenance work orders
- Establish and manage building maintenance contracts
- Program key cards and manage building access systems
- Maintain building certifications such as elevator, fire alarm and fire extinguishers.
Leasing:
- Negotiate lease renewals/non-renewals with tenants in a timely and reliable manner.
- Advertise and market vacant residential spaces and onboard residential, commercial, and industrial tenants
Your Qualifications
- 5 years of applicable experience working in the property management/leasing fields.
- Highly responsive and willing to be accessible outside of normal business hours, weekends and holidays
- Experience in Yardi or similar property management software
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office, Smartsheets/excel
- Live in Philadelphia County or can access quickly (regardless of weather conditions)
- Highly-organized and client-centric
- Self-motivated, high-energy and goal-oriented
- Strong communicator and writer
- Experience with commercial buildings a plus
Job Requirements
- Property Manage Software: 2 years (Yardi Preferred)
- Property Management: 2-3 years (Preferred)
- An understanding of building mechanical systems and construction practices a plus
- Full-time
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
- Work Location: In person
