Shift Capital announces Phase II of the Beury Project
Shift Capital is excited to announce the next phase of the redevelopment of Broad, Erie & Germantown Ave. With the mixed-use development of the Beury Building (Phase I) scheduled to begin construction in 2018, the Shift Capital team is releasing its preliminary designs for the 3700 block of North Broad Street.
Shift Capital Joins the Puerto Rico Emergency Relief Effort
On September 29th, Shift Capital announced a partnership with the Governor’s Office of Pennsylvania, the Mayor’s Office of the City of Philadelphia, State Representative Angel Cruz and City Councilwoman Maria Quiñones-Sánchez, as part of the emergency response effort to send relief packages to help Puerto Rico and its residents recover from Hurricane Maria.

On September 27th at 6:00pm Shift Capital, along with partners New Kensington CDC and Impact Services, arrived at Porchlight Hub (2774 Kensington Avenue) – a community art-making space, to facilitate the launch of the Kensington Avenue Storefront Challenge.
The Gateway Project to North Kensington: What’s Urban Build?
At Shift Capital, we are excited to announce a collaboration with Olin and PennPraxis – the Living Laboratory! Shift is contributing $5,000 and a 1/4 acre open lot as part of a fundraising campaign to support an innovative, interdisciplinary design-build studio course. Contingent on additional funding, the course will be offered to graduate students in the UPENN School of Design starting in the spring semester of 2018.
