J-centrel is Philadelphia’s civically-engaged multi-purpose community that provides quality live and work spaces for residents and businesses who are committed to doing good with their community. Located in the Harrowgate neighborhood of Philadelphia on a re-energized section of Kensington Avenue along the Market-Frankford El corridor, J-centrel mixes modern, restored, affordable workspaces, residences, and retail space designed to collectively enhance the live and work experience.

The former textile mill has been converted into a mix of unique industrial residences (studio, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom) with exposed ceilings, floor-to-ceiling restored thermal insulated windows, and secure keyless private entrances. J-centrel offers contemporary industrial offices and studios for creative and small businesses in Philadelphia.

At the heart of J-centrel sits a charming landscaped commons designed to bring residents, businesses, and neighbors together to interact, collaborate, and enjoy a variety of local food and entertainment experiences.

J-centrel is home to community-driven residents and businesses who strive to make their neighborhood, Philadelphia, and society better. When residents join the Good Neighbor program they are eligible to receive up to $100 off their monthly rent for volunteering with our neighborhood partner organizations. It’s a give forward model that rewards residents for doing good in their neighborhood.
