Beginning June 6th, photographer Jeffrey Stockbridge, creator of Kensington Blues, will host a pop-up portrait studio at 3200 Kensington Avenue at the intersection of Kensington and Allegheny Avenues. Stockbridge will offer Kensington residents free portrait sessions and invite them to share their stories of hope and humanity.
In addition to the portrait studio, Stockbridge will record audio narratives and facilitate obituary writing workshops to remember the lives of community members who’ve passed but are not forgotten. Stockbridge, writes, “With over 1200 opioid overdose deaths in 2017, I think it’s important to remember that those who lost their lives were so much more than just addicts – they were human beings who were loved.”
Join Shift in celebrating life and remembering the lives of the Kensington community.
