The entire building will be remediated of all environmental hazards by Pepper Environmental Services Inc, managed by Philadelphia’s React Environmental Professional Group Inc. The work is scheduled for completion in early June and is the first benchmark for the full renovation of the building. This financing opportunity was made possible through investments made by Shift Capital and the Commonwealth of PA’s Industrial Site Reuse Program – in conjunction with Chester County Economic Development Council.
About The Beury Building
The Beury Building is one of the most well-known and visible historic landmarks in N. Philadelphia and its renovation will create 80 1BR residential units and 15,000sf of commercial space. The site is located two blocks north of Temple University’s Health System campus, in the Tioga section of the City and sits on top of SEPTA’s 2nd busiest station. The redevelopment of this 112,000sf building will spur growth in & around this community.
